What to Expect

Visiting a church, or new church for the first time presents a few questions that we would like to answer for you. We invite you to visit us and meet our loving and friendly congregation. Here are some commonly asked questions:

How should I dress?

We are casual here at Greater Grace Portland and welcome jeans, shorts, and ties with equal enthusiasm. It's your presence that is the most important. God does not care about what you are wearing; He only cares about you.

Is there music?

Yes, we generally sing three songs of praise in our service. Our worship team leads us with two songs that precede the sermon, and one more that follow after.

Do you hold Communion?

Yes, we have communion twice a month. We come to our Father's table on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month.

Will I need to bring a bible?

You are always encouraged and welcome to bring a bible, but the songs of worship, announcements and passages of scripture are projected on screens.

Can someone pray with me?

Yes! If you would like someone to pray with you, we invite you to ask an elder or anyone on the worship team. If you'd like a special, or individual prayer, please feel free to contact us.
